Good morning everyone! I want to welcome you to the 2nd part of Day 20 of the 3rd Annual Romancing September Across the World Blog Tour. If you haven’t checked out Rosie’s post from earlier, then go by https://rosieamber.wordpress.com/ and get caught up.
Now on to today’s featured author, Here’s the question I asked:
What has been the biggest inspiration for your writing?
Sonya:
That’s a pretty tough question for me because I can’t pinpoint one thing. There’s so much to be inspired by. It’s everything and nothing…oddly enough. In the case of Love Always, Candace and I had talked about working on a book together since 2009 when we first started out writing. It took about 6 years to bring that idea into reality. But where did we start, and what were we going to write about? Candace had talked of trying her hand with contemporary romance, but wasn’t sure if taking on another genre was the right move for her. Not to mention she’s still working on a paranormal romance series that keeps her very busy. She’d mentioned to me prior to my last release of If Ever I Fall ( book 3 of my Six Series) that she still wanted to write a book together. She’d just wrapped up Everlost (book 3 of The Night Watchmen Series) leaving us both a moment in the in between to really think about making a co-written book a reality. Two months later, the book was written. That still blows my mind. We finished our book two months and one day after we started it…wow. The inspiration for that came from something Candace had typed up one night when she couldn’t sleep, making it the tip-off of what is now Love Always, and one of the main characters, Maggie, and her basketball orange, colored hair. So yeah, inspiration is everywhere. You just have to stand still, breathe in the moment and it will find its way to you.
Candace:
Inspiration. Gah, how I love it. I mean… honestly, I couldn’t have said it better than Sonya. It’s never one thing. It could be a picture, or a lyric, or a dream I had. It could be a passing thought. And sometimes it’s not always there. Some days I sit in front of my computer wanting to write, but never really feeling it, while others I can’t stop the ideas flowing. I think once you open yourself up to your inner child and step away from the fear of sounding ridiculous, you can think up anything you put your mind to. Every person is different, and I didn’t have one big inspiration that pushed me to write. Except for maybe the fact that I just wanted to have my thoughts on paper. A way to express my views on life in a way that a reader could enjoy. A way to express myself in a way that could be heard. That, I suppose, was my big inspiration.

Here’s a little bit about today’s author:
Sonya Candace
Today’s featured book is “Love Always”. If you haven’t checked out the her book, then here’s a little about it and where to find it.
Book Description
Love Always,
I’ve met boys like him before. Rich. Bored. Always wearing a silver-spooned smile. But there is something different about him that piques my curiosity. The way he looks at me, like he is staring through the bars of a gilded cage he’s never left. Like he is one breath away from suffocating beneath a mound of responsibilities. He is different from the rest because he doesn’t wear his money… his money wears him. I just don’t think he knows it yet.
She’s like nothing I’ve ever seen before. She’s everything I’ve never been able to be. Carefree. Whimsical. A dreamer. Her laugh is infectious. She is irresistible. I can’t help but be drawn to her with an intensity that steals my breath and muddles my senses. I want to know her, need to know her, but how can I
allow myself that liberty when I don’t have the freedom to make my own choices?
Phillip and Maggie think they have it all. Even though they come from opposite backgrounds, they each have bright futures paved out, with no distractions holding them back.
Until the fateful day they meet each other.
After a brief, adventurous time together in The Hamptons, Maggie and Phillip find themselves saying goodbye just as the spark of love flashes intensely between them. Can their budding connection be enough to survive the pulling tides of change, or will they drift apart before they even have a chance to explore what could have been?
