Now What! Get it Polished and Shiny!
Good Morning! Well as I stated in my last “From the Idea to the Finished Product” blog, I had to do something with my finished manuscript. But since I was new to the publishing world, I soon found out my manuscript was far from finished. I had been using an older version of Microsoft Office, I am an Accountant by trade, so I only used it for letters and such. Well upon reading the guidelines for Amazon, I realized I had to upgrade.
Now that I had the correct program I had to follow all the guidelines to get the manuscript in the correct format. That was an experience in itself. Thank goodness my Accounting assistant is in college and very capable of working miracles on Microsoft office.
It was definitely a work in progress. So from one author to another, don’t ever think you are done when you type THE END. Just push forward, because in the end it will be soooooo worth it!

How I started writing! The Ups & downs!
Well, I have been writing stories for as long as I can remember. The storylines came easily to me. That was the easy part. The hard part was putting it on paper. I could always see the story from start to finish, but it was the in between that got complicated. I decided to go old school. I sat down one day and made an outline of the story in my head. The outline ended up having 18 sections. SO, that was my story in a condensedversion.
I took the outline to the computer and started. I used each section of the outline to fill in my story. I would expand the section until it filled a chapter, sometimes two. Before I knew it, two months later, I had a completed manuscript.
I looked at the manuscript in awe. I had finally done it. I had completed a whole story from beginning to end. Now what! ON my next blog I will continue the story.
So Get to writing. It can be very stress relieving.
Hello world!
Well, this is my first blog post on WordPress! I have recently started publishing my novels. It has been a lesson in
humility and patience. I have been an Accountant for over 20 years, so using word applications has been a change of pace.
Thanks to my Accounting assistant who is also in college, I am now on every social network she can think of. It has been a wild ride. When I used to get to my office, which is beside my house, I would check my emails and faxes then get to work. Now I spend an hour checking my author sites, social sites, and then I get to answer all correspondence. It has
been a nice change of pace from accounting and taxes.
If anyone gets a chance, check out my work on smashwords.com and Amazon.com
