Monday Night and all is well with the World!

Well, the 4th novel is being shined and polished. I feel really good about this one.

Hope to have it published this week. It has been a good Monday. I even found time

to make homemade vegetable soup. That’s right, homemade. My husband and teenage son

were impressed.

Hope all of you have a wonderful Monday night! Don’t worry, the weekend is only four days away, that is after midnight tonight!

The 25th Class Reunion

Well, it is so weird to think I have been out of school for 25 years. I walked into the local airport hangar where the reunion was held. I grabbed my husband’s hand and said a prayer. I just hoped that some of my closer friends would be there. I tried to be friends with everyone, but you know how it goes, even 25 years later everyone still congregates in the old clicks.

I was greeted by a dear old friend. We were in school all 12 years together. It was a wonderful moment to see her. Then others walked up and I started to feel a little better. I was actually still on a high from finishing my 4th novel just a couple of hours before I arrived at the reunion.

My husband was supportive as usual. He leaned down and whispered, “We will stay as long as you want to. Just have fun.”

It turned out to be a great reunion. My best friend from school came in and we picked up where we left off. We giggled and talked so fast that our husband’s just sat and laughed at us. The funny thing is that we could be like we were in high school.

If you get a chance to go to a school reunion, don’t just throw that invitation away, go ahead and RSVP. Grab the moment and walk in with your head held high. Have fun and enjoy yourself. After 12 years of spending every day together, you deserve this.

Oh yeah, by the way, my husband laughed all the way home about the picture of me with the Farrah Fawcett hair that was brought up on the screen. You got to love the 80’s.

Part 3 of my adventures in Self Publishing:Wow what a ride!

Well, After I thought I had everything edited in my book, I tried to publish. I thought it looked pretty good, but guess what. The paragraphs were not like amazon wanted and it had too many enters. Well for an accountant by trade, this was confusing. My first thought was, what do you mean it has too many enters?!!!!

It took some investigating to figure out that even though it looked good on screen, it did not look good to publishers. Soooooo, I went into edit mode. This was a little bit of a time consuming experience. I made notes on what needed to be done to the other two manuscripts.

Guys, don’t get me wrong, self publishing is the way to go, but make sure that you don’t have too many enters and tabs!!! Check out “Ghost Lover” on Smashwords or Amazon. So far I have gotten some good reviews. I actually got a 5 star review this week and yes I did a dance in the middle of the floor. It is very exciting and humbling when you see that people do like what you write.

Have a great day! Oh, and don’t forget, through God all things are possible! I am proof of that!Image

Have you tried Shelfari.com yet?

Good Tuesday Morning!

Well, it is storming in Georgia this morning so I can’t go to my accounting office. My commute is only across the driveway, but the building is metal and I don’t go out there when it is lightning. Since I have a little time on my

hands I was playing with my author page on Amazon. I ran up on Shelfari.com. I decided to check it out and I think it

is pretty cool! I was able to but both the kindle edition and paperback edition of my books on the  bookshelf for people to see. Also I can view other peoples bookshelf to see what other people are reading and get reviews to boot.

It is funny how many sites I am now on. Only two months ago I did not even have a twitter account. Publishing a book has been a real experience. It has taught me a lot about the information highway.

Wow! Lightning just lit up my living room and the thunder rattled the windows! Good thing my laptop was charged up

and ready to go this morning.

So, in conclusion, if you haven’t tried out Shelfari.com, go on, try it!

Monday morning! Weekend way too Short!

Well it is official. The weekend is over. It was a pretty productive weekend, which is good when you

multitask as I do. I started working on yet another novel, which makes four I am currently working on.

I took my son fishing and had a very productive Children’s Ministry class yesterday. All in All it was a

good weekend.

Of course being an Accountant, Monday’s are always crazy. My clients are in withdrawals from no contact

over the weekend. Hopefully will get in some writing today. The new story is in the front of my mind. Oh, the mind

of a writer. It goes way too deep sometimes. I feel like the stories are running around fighting for front of the line.

Hopefully today I will be able to put at least one in front.

Well for those starting out your day at work, have another cup of coffee. I have already had two and need another.

Take a deep breath and start your day with a prayer and a smile…

Oh, the lazy days of summer are almost over. School is back in and you can feel Fall in the air. Everybody seems to feel the change in the air. Even though we still have another month of summer, it is still nice to have a taste of Fall. Especially when you live in middle Georgia as I do. I had planned to finish my manuscript for my 4th novel this afternoon, but I am taking my son fishing. I will probably still have my laptop handy in case I get a moment to type. I love to work on my writing when the sun is shining and the wind is lightly blowing. It makes the whole process fun. Since I am a Children’s Minister at my Church, my day started out with fifteen kids and a lot of patience. They are great though. I get some of my ideas from them for my upcoming children’s book series that I have not started yet. My assistant is pressing me to finish my newest work in progress. Well really the three that are in progress, but as most writers do, I started a 4th work in progress last night. I thought she would go nuts when I told her. I told her it is job security. Everyone have a beautiful day and enjoy what God has given you!
