Mother's Day Sale

Good Thursday morning! Today I’m starting my Mother’s Day Sale, but of course, Amazon is on the ball and the sale prices started yesterday… In honor of Mother’s Day, I’m offering three of my books for .99 each. As you’ll notice, two are my newest books released and one is older. A Light Upon My Heart will be on http://faithfulreads.com/ today.

I’ve had authors ask me why I run sales every once in a while. My answer is simple, it’s like simple marketing. When you run a book that’s usually $2.99 or more, down to .99, people take notice. It’s the same thing when you make the first book in a series free. If they like that one, you have a good shot at selling the rest of the series. I’m seeing great results with Ridge staying free. The rest of the books are selling great, so it works.

Talking about selling books, my announcement is coming tomorrow! Just get your sharing and liking fingers ready. I’ll need all the help I can get. The key to getting it out there is all of my wonderful friends here and on all my social media outlets. So keep watching for the announcement. It’s been so hard to sit on this all week as the kinks are ironed out.

As always, good writing and may God Bless You…

Almost back to normal…

Good afternoon! It’s good to be back to almost normal. Another tax season under my belt, but man I’m exhausted, mentally. As with every year, I’m taking some time off to get my brain back in the game. Of course in my world, that means getting things completed that have been put off for three months.

First on my list was to get my summer clothes out of the attic and my winter clothes put away. Yikes, my brain can’t handle that all at once, so I moved on to the second phase of my time off work. That phase is to paint our two bathrooms. Sounds easy, but they have wallpaper on the walls that has been there for 22 years. As I started to pull the paper off, well, as my luck would have it, the top layer came off, not the bottom. So I’ve spent the last two days spraying the walls with a mixture of water and fabric softener. All I can say about that is, my house smells like a field of flowers!

So, I’ve been scraping and spraying, spraying and scraping. Shall I go one, no, I don’t think so? So, I’ll tell you what I’ve been up to with my writing. Not much, but I did manage this week to finish a synopsis and submit to the Harlequin Heartwarming Blitz. We’ll see where it goes from here.

As for my word counts which have suffered greatly over the last couple of weeks, I’m working on catching up, but it will take a while. But I am back to blogging and finding out what all of you, my friends, have been up to. So, feel free to fill me in and catch me up to speed on everything 🙂

In the coming days, I’ll be announcing something that I’ve been working on for a while, but wasn’t sure about. But, I’m extremely excited about it. I want to announce it now, but I want everything in place before I step out into the light with my new venture. So, keep watching for news.

It’s good to be back!

As always, good writing and May God Bless You!

Dust Bunnies of the brain…

It’s Monday folks! Does your brain feel like this dust filled pan? Mine does. I actually timed my writing this morning so that I did my allotted work before I attacked social media. But wouldn’t it be nice if we could pull out a pan from our brain and clear the dust and cobwebs?

I have several exciting announcements coming up in the next couple of days and weeks. Along with some preorders going up and then a series announcement that has me excited, I’ll be doing a cover reveal for a couple of upcoming books.

If anyone is interested in helping me make these announcements, especially the cover reveals, just let me know. I want to get the word out, far and wide. I’m just bowled over with excitement about the new covers for the works in progress. When you see them, you’ll understand what I’m talking about.

So, how’s your Monday so far? Here’s to hoping it’s great…

As always, good writing and May God Bless You…

Monday Morning Wake Up Post

If you haven’t realized it yet, yep it’s Monday folks. School started back today after a very long break due to the ice storm and then Winter Break. The alarm clock went off at 6:00 this morning and it was rough. I’m working on my second cup of coffee and contemplating my third.

Of course with Tax season in full swing my day is full of appointments for drop offs and pick ups. But for another hour I get to sit and enjoy my coffee, work on my upcoming book release and relax. This is my time when I can quietly work on things in the house. I already have a load of laundry and a load of dishes going. But more importantly I have a book to finish.

Since I’m working on my first time travel romance, I’m excited about the upcoming release. I’m doing this one a little differently than my other books. It’s going to have a pre-order available through Smashwords. The pre-order will be on Barnes & Noble, Apple iTunes and Kobo. I will be running several giveaways and some free books to select people that win the drawings. The contest will be announced this week so keep watching. Several of my books will be up for grabs to those that pre-order my book and send me a picture of their pre-order confirmation, but I’ll announce the rules soon.

As for the book that’s coming out, I think my fans will be surprised. I’m hoping it will be a pleasant surprise. This is a little step away from my normal writing, but of course there is still a handsome cowboy and horses, I have to keep that going. But I’ve never delved into the time travel genre. It’s been a great experience and I think it’s a story that will make you think and wonder all the way to the end, which is an interesting ending.

So, how are you spending your Monday morning? How many cups of coffee does it take to get you going? Let me know I’m not the only coffee addict…

As always, good writing and May God Bless You…
