Deadlines and caffeine…

At this time of year I’m burning the candle at both ends. It’s something accountants prepare all year for. We know that for at least four months everything will be turned upside down and deadlines will be looming everywhere. But it’s why I love it so much.

Maybe that’s why I love a writing deadline. It’s the adrenaline. And it’s the excuse to drink more coffee, not that I needed one.

Coffee is better on Saturday morning…

It’s Saturday, if you haven’t noticed. Why is coffee better on a Saturday morning? Here are my thoughts on that.

On Saturday morning you can sit and enjoy your coffee without being in a hurry.

On Saturday morning, life is just calm and beautiful. (Most of the time)

On Saturday morning you get to sleep in, so you’re refreshed when you take that first sip.

On Saturday morning you don’t have to go to work, so everything seems better.

What am I saying? Coffee is good on any day!

Have a blessed Saturday morning…

Monday afternoon slump…

Anyone else in the Monday afternoon slump? I’m thinking it’s coffee-thirty.

Why is it that around 3pm you feel drained and don’t think you’ll make it another hour? And that’s not just on Monday’s. But, think about this – Do you do that on the weekend? Most likely not!

Here’s to coffee-thirty!

MONDAY Coffee is the best!

Can you believe it’s already Monday? And we’re already in November? This has been a crazy year, hasn’t it?

On my first cup of coffee, I dread Monday…

On my second cup of coffee, I figure it’s not going away, so…

On my third cup of coffee, I think I can do this…

As I turn the pot up, I know I can do this because in reality, it’s just another day…

Pardon me while I go make another pot!

Make it a great day with a smile and some coffee. Well, in my case, a lot of coffee!

As always, good writing and May God Bless You…

The great debate – creamer or not!

Sunday is so sweet. After Church we always come in, eat lunch and take a nice nap. Then I get to writing and grab a cup of coffee. If you haven’t noticed, I don’t need an excuse to drink coffee.

With that said, there’s a huge debate out there and no, I’m not being political, far from it. I’m talking about the debate over creamer or no creamer.

Some avid coffee connoisseurs say that if you put creamer in your coffee, that it’s ruined. But others say that creamer makes the coffee. What do you say?

Me? Well, it’s up to my mood. For most of my life I’ve used creamer, but in the last couple of years I’ve grown to love coffee without creamer. But I still love creamer too. Of course, this time of year, I lean toward Pumpkin Spice of course. Then around Christmas, it’s Peppermint Mocha or Gingerbread Spice. My hubby and son love French Vanilla, as do I will a little sprinkle of cinnamon.

So, what’s the verdict? And just to sweeten the pot, per say, I’ll be giving away a prize to all of those that respond. It will include a paperback, some coffee and a little something special! When you comment, send your email address so that I can put all of you in a drawing.

As always, good writing and May God Bless You…
