And it’s the 1st Monday of 2021…

It’s the first Monday of the new year and I’m feeling it. After two 4-day weekends, I’m moving a little slow. But, as an Accountant I have to hit the ground running today. It’s tax time, end of year, and quarterly. So, things are about to get crazy for me.

So, with that being said, what are you doing to start the year off right? Any New Year’s resolutions? Remember, a New Year is time to start over. Make it your year. Even though we’re starting off the year still in the craziness of 2020, we can make it our own. Just focus on being the best you can be and don’t worry about everything. Just move forward and get it done.

I’m working on the finishing touches of Double Take At Mistletoe Ranch, which means the Mistletoe Ranch Series will be coming to an end soon. That makes me so sad because I’ve grown close to Maddy and Denver. But it makes room for my new series, In Harm’s Way. And yes, I’ve already started writing the first book, SAFE. This makes me do a little happy dance too.

Now it’s time for another cup of coffee and some breakfast. Let’s do this Monday…

As always, good writing and May God Bless You…

New Year… New You…

Happy New Year! It’s 2021, can you believe it? Alright, it’s time to get this year started and as with any new year, it’s a chance to make a change. Maybe it’s financial, career, life, or any other change you need to make. It’s time for second chances and new experiences. So, here’s a list of things to change:

  • Faith – We all need to work on that one, especially after this last year. Last night as I knelt at the altar, I prayed for more faith. We’ve got to let go of the bad and work on bringing in the good. Build on your faith and find hope!
  • Finances – As an accountant, this is something most people need to do. Make a resolution to save more money, get rid of debt, or clean out your budget. I have a Budget book to help and it’s a great time to get started on the new financially stable you. https://www.amazon.com/Budgeting-Simple-Plan-Better-Year/dp/1793955611
  • Career – Alright, this one can be hard to do, but if you make the choice to make this change, then jump in. Maybe you want to expand on your current career. Then jump in feet first. There are so many chances out there to change your career.
  • Life – If you’re stuck in a rut, then climb out. You have the power to do this, even if you don’t think so, you do. Make a list of what in your life needs to change and start working on it. Some things are harder than others to change, but it’s your life and you only get one!
  • Write a Book – Wow, that one hits close to home. I’ve been writing since I was 13, but only published my first book in 2012 which was 31 years after I wrote my first manuscript. So, if you have a book inside of you, get it out there and take the leap. You won’t regret it.

And don’t forget the coffee!

Now, get to work. You have a new you to make. Smile… Laugh… Love…

As always, good writing and May God Bless You…

Send out the old; Happy New Year’s Eve!

Good Monday morning! Can you believe it’s New Year’s Eve? Wow, it’s been a fast, and exciting year. So, what are you sending out? What do I mean, well lend an ear…

On New Year’s Eve, we promise to leave old habits behind and make new ones. Of course, by the end of January, we’ve usually given up on our promises. But, this year, I’ve already set in place some of mine… Here are my writing promises and resolutions…

I’ve already got my writing schedule completed for 2019 and my preorders ready to schedule. This new year will be my year of change as far as my writing goes. I’m more organized and I plan to push further in my writing career. 2018 has been an amazing year for my writing and I hope the trend continues for the new year.

So, what are your promises for the new year?

As always, good writing and May God Bless You in the new year!

Writing…A Resolution…

Happy New Year! Well, 2017 is up and running… New year, new you?

As I sit here writing this post, the Today show is talking about exercising for the new year. Many of you have made a vow to exercise more, but will you do it? I’ve made that same resolution, but have only stretched a couple of things. Now I’ve exercised my mind quite a bit, but not my body.

Another writer asked me if I had any writing resolutions… Don’t we all? I’ve seen several posts about writing resolutions. Some say they will write more this year… Some will publish the book they’ve been working on for a long while… Some say they will blog more… The list goes on…

The problem with this is that we still have the same amount of hours in the day. Yes, I’ve got my year of writing planned out and plotted on my calendar and schedule, but will I be able to see it through? Will I be able to squeeze out more hours in the day? Let’s just say that I’ve put my mind to staying more focused this year. We will see how that goes, but as of now, I’m behind…

Resolutions are a good thing because they make you think about your health, your relationships, and your career. Some people make drastic decisions just after the first of the year, vowing to make a change in their lives for the better. But, make sure that the changes you make are the best thing for you.

Will I write more this year? Will I publish more books this year? Will I make the New York Bestsellers list this year? Will I write full time before the end of the year? Will I write the novel of the year? These are questions I ask every year, but will they happen?

Have you made a resolution about life, relationships, or your writing? What are they?

As always, good writing and May God Bless You…

Happy New Year!

Ok, so how many of you have made a New Year’s resolution? I’ve made a couple of the normal ones, better health, lose weight, better organization. We’ll see how that goes. Also, I’ve made a couple of writing resolutions. I have a list of books and release dates that I plan to keep to the date.

Tonight I’ll celebrate the New Year with my Church family. We always have finger foods around 9, then music until close to midnight. Then we’ll all join around the altar, holding hands and praying in the new year. It’s such a special way to bring in each new year.

How do you celebrate? What are your resolutions? Hope I bring more romance to the world, one book at a time 😉

Happy New Year to all my friends and family! Wish all of you a prosperous and healthy new year!

As always, great writing and May God Bless You… See you next year…
