2016 is almost over…Bring in 2017!

It’s hard to believe that this year is almost over. But a new year brings new hope for everything, right? Well, that’s up to you…

As most of you know, I love the Christmas season and it’s sad that it’s gone, but then there’s something about a new year. It’s like you can start over and make a fresh new outlook.

For the last week, I’ve been taking my annual IRS testing and it’s had me bummed out! I took some time off from my accounting business to take a breather. It’s important to take a little time before tax season starts, but having to test most of my time off has my head spinning. Also, my word counts have suffered!

But, I have a positive outlook that I’ll finish the testing today and get back on track. Of course, it will take a couple of days to catch up with my word counts… If I don’t, my assistant might just throw something at me, like my laptop.

So, what are your thoughts on the new year coming in? Are you set to meet your goals for 2016 by midnight tomorrow night?

As always, good writing and May God Bless You…

Last Monday of 2013!

It’s weird to say that. I’ve been thinking back to 2013 and it’s been a great year. There’s been good and bad throughout the year, but for the most part it’s been great. It was the first full year of being a published author.

How are you spending the last two days of 2013? As for me I’m working today, but taking tommorow off. I’m trying to finish one of my books before midnight tommorow, but maybe not. It’s funny how you plan on time to write during holidays and then life steps in and you don’t get it done.

What are your plans for New Year’s? We spend it at our Church. We have the best time eating finger foods and singing. Then we bring in the New Year at the altar. It’s a great way to thank Him for the past year and for the new year to come. Of course I have games and prizes for the kids. They even get to wear their pjs which helps parents just put them to bed when they get home.

Hopefully everyone has set their writing goals for 2014.

As always, good writing and May God Bless You…
