Good morning everyone! I want to welcome you to the 2nd part of Day 10 of the 3rd Annual Romancing September Across the World Blog Tour. If you haven’t checked out Rosie’s post from earlier, then go by https://rosieamber.wordpress.com/ and get caught up.
Now on to today’s featured author, Here’s the question I asked:
What has been the biggest inspiration for your writing?
I would say, without doubt, the excellent literature/history based education I received, and movies and books I have read. I become so immersed in them that when I’ve finished I want to rush back to the keyboard and start writing something of my own. It goes without saying that I am referring to the good examples of both genres. Although, if I watch a bad movie or read a poorly constructed book I find myself mentally editing and re-writing them. Anyone else do that? Overall, however, the biggest inspiration for me is – myself! That’s not as vainglorious as it sounds . . . Because of other commitments, I started my writing career later than I would have liked – and I have years of lost time to make up. That’s what spurs me on, allied to the success I’ve had self-publishing my novels. Life is finite and I want to feel at the end of it that I’ve written the books I want to write and have done my very best. As I say on my website, life is not a rehearsal, if you have a dream – go for it.

Todays featured book is “Scotch on the Rocks”. If you haven’t checked out the her book, then here’s a little about it and where to find it.
Book Description
SCOTCH ON THE ROCKS Where men are men and the women are glad of it! ISHABEL STUART is at the crossroads of her life. Her wealthy industrialist father has died unexpectedly, leaving her a half-share in a ruined whisky distillery and the task of scattering his ashes on a Munro. After discovering her fiancé playing away from home, she cancels their lavish wedding arranged for Christmas at St Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh and heads for the only place she feels safe – Eilean na Sgairbh, a windswept island on Scotland’s west coast. Where the cormorants outnumber the inhabitants, ten to one. When she arrives at her family home – a bed and breakfast managed by her firebrand Aunt Esme, she finds a guest in situ – BRODIE. Issy longs for peace and the chance to lick her wounds, but gorgeous Brodie, turns all that on its head – and her world along with it. In spite of her vow to steer clear of men, she grows to rely on Brodie. However, she suspects him of having an ulterior motive for staying at her aunt’s B&B on remote Cormorant Island. Having been let down by the men in her life, will it be third time lucky for Issy? Is she wise to trust a man she knows nothing about – a man who presents her with more questions than answers? As for Aunt Esme, she has secrets of her own . . .

Lovely to read this about Lizzie.
Hi Stephanie, thanks for hosting me on your blog. I really appreciate the chance to share my books with readers in the USA. Actually, that’s where I sell most of my downloads – there must be lots of readers out there with Scottish ancestry, or who simply like men in kilts. I know I do !!
It was my pleasure. We’re so glad you could join us again this year! Wishing you the best with your day here…
Thank you Stephanie. I will be popping back over the course of this evening to reply to any other comments.
I love the cover and the title for this book! Shared & pinned.
Hi Lizzie. It seems that you love for reading and the teaching of children are both the right ingredients for a successful writer. I also read a lot and have taught for years. The story ideas are all around. Scotch on the Rocks is on my list. I enjoyed the Boot Camp Bride. It must be exciting to have a bus pull up wearing your book jackets! Congrats! Lynn
