Good morning everyone! I want to welcome you to the 2nd part of Day 23 of the 3rd Annual Romancing September Across the World Blog Tour. If you haven’t checked out Rosie’s post from earlier, then go by https://rosieamber.wordpress.com/ and get caught up.
Now on to today’s featured author, Here’s the question I asked:
What has been the biggest inspiration for your writing?
Places I’ve lived and people I’ve met.
Here’s a little bit about today’s author:
Bethan Darwin was born in Toronto but brought up in the Rhondda Valleys in South Wales. She studied law at King’s College London and worked as a solicitor in London for a number of years before eventually returning to Wales in 1998. Bethan works full time as an employment and boardroom law solicitor at law firm Thompson Darwin.
Bethan also runs the women’s networking group Superwoman which raises funds for various charities through its events. In 2009 she was shortlisted for the South Wales Chamber of Commerce Woman in Business award and for Red Magazine’s Red Hot Woman awards in the mentor category. She is listed in the Lawyer Magazine’s Hot 100 Lawyers in the UK for 2010.
Bethan always said she wanted to write a book some day but it wasn’t until she was about to hit forty and while on maternity leave with her second child that she actually got round to sitting down and doing some writing. Her first novel Back Home was published by Honno in March 2009 and her second novel Two Times Twenty in October 2010. She is currently working hard to get a third novel finished in time for publication in July 2016.
Todays featured book is “Two Times Twenty”. If you haven’t checked out the her book, then here’s a little about it and where to find it.
Book Description
Anna’s got a significant birthday coming up and is planning the party to end all parties, when she spots Jane, catering queen and all round good egg, dallying on the doorstep of a man who isn’t her husband. To tell or not to tell? Confronting one of your closest friends with her infidelity isn’t the way to get delectable tit-bits at a discount rate…
Then there’s her best friend since school… City lawyer and fashion queen she may be, but Glynis has gone all broody and is on the hunt for ‘daddy’ and asking questions Anna can’t answer.
And finally, Mack, the ‘bad boy’ she left home for, who wasn’t bad at all, just afflicted with fatal wanderlust. What should she do when he turns up? Maybe choosing the guestlist won’t be the year’s biggest decision after all…
I hope you enjoyed it! Keep watching for more great authors all month and don’t forget to go by Rosie’s post at https://rosieamber.wordpress.com/… Let’s make it another awesome tour for 2015!
